Guides
Nearly sixteen years in Orange County birth rooms, written down. No fear-mongering, no fluff, just what actually helps you feel ready. New guides are added as families ask new questions.
The longer guides on birthing options in Orange County, a calm approach to birth anxiety and preparing for a confident VBAC live together on the birth guides page. They answer the three questions families ask most, at length.
This library is the other half: shorter pieces on one question each, added as families ask new ones.
Every family comes to birth with different questions and different fears. These guides are not a course to work through in order, they are a set of honest answers you can reach for when a particular worry gets loud. Read one at 2 a.m. when you cannot sleep, or skim several over a weekend, whatever helps.
What ties them together is a point of view: birth is not something to be afraid of, and you do not have to understand everything at once. You only need enough clarity to make the next decision with confidence. Each guide also says who it does not suit, because a guide that only reassures you is not much of a guide.
A note on what these are not. Jenn is a doula and a birth photographer, not a clinician. Nothing here is medical advice, and none of it replaces a conversation with your provider.
